It’s possible, and there are quite a few guides to it online, it’s just one of those things generally not advised because you’d basically have to spoil everything to get it on your first play through

New game + doesn’t keep confidant ranks, but it does keep your social stats, so if you want to max all confidants, I’d recommend maxing all social stats in the first playthrough so you won’t have to worry about it in the next one

it's not exactly easy afterwards lol, unless you have personas which correspond with the confidant. I.e. Second Playthrough, I was able to max all of them out, apart from Lavenza, Iwai and Mishima. Last time was Lavenza, Shinya and Hifumi. Worth it in the end though, yet somehow - it's always Ryuji who I end up maxing first

I personally am trying to do it through New Game Plus, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get it done. I'll likely look up a tutorial rather than try it myself from now on.

Personally I got all but Devil maxed first run, Devil I never started. I don't see how it could be hard with mac social stats, just make sure to abuse Fortune telling and only hang out when you can rank up.
