I walked into GameStop, and saw Devil Survivor: Overclocked, and thought the artwork was neat.
I didn't realize that was the moment I would form a new addiction.
From there, I downloaded Persona 3 Portable, and wrecked that game.
I went on to Strange Journey, and actually did not like it. I'm not a fan of First Person grid based movement, and the combat was intense. It wasn't anythought I couldnt' get over, but the story, setting, and gameplay all failed horribly to draw me in.
After that, I found Nocturne in a bargin bin, and went home.
Got about 4 hours in and quit. As the above, the setting, lack of navigation, and theme all bored me to tears. I honestly had a hard time understanding why people were raving about this game (even to this day). The battle system was grand, and I like the mitama ingesting, but eh. I couldn't get into it.
Later I got to play Persona 2 Innocent Sin, and really fell in love with that.
Devil Summoner 2 was next on my list, and I got about 3 hours in before I quit. Transforming into demons was fun, but it actually bored me. It felt like half a game, between the story, the level design, and the pacing.
MegaTen Online was thrown in the mix somewhere during my spree of the above, and I fell in love with that.
Deil Survivor 2 released not long later, and that was a game I obsessed with.
Persona 4 Golden was one of the reasons I picked up a vita. Hated the game, loved the vita. Still slaughtered P4G.
Currently, I have Persona 2 Eternal Punishment bought and downloaded this morning, so I plan on playign that here in the near future.
I really wanna pick up SMT 4, but I'm hesitant. The other deserted apocolypse settings really didn't do it for me and I'm getting the same vibe from it.
