I even grew to believe that this forum was connected to the land of darkness.

basically what he's saying is to keep this place, both your world and the Nexus, from falling apart, because your world's likely to go with it. Though obviously I've never tested this Akamoto here can jump dimensions at will, he might have seen something similar happen elsewhere

No, As for people, we can go anywhere in the nexus we want, so even if our world "Dies" we will just go somewhere else in the nexus, as for the world, it will "Die" but if you wish to return then it will come back.

This place is formed by the minds of those that occupy it, so this world may not actually be YOUR world, It may just be a location you conjured up from your memories. A copy, if you will.

This is the Nexus. It has been rumored that a being called Succoth-benoth is funneling every known universe to this singular point, and that is why we are all gathered here. In the past few weeks or so, physical manifestations of Sins have been appearing. Thotiah, deity of Lust and Thottiness. Narcissus, deity of Vanity. We are currently planning for the next attack. minions such as Ramengod have been cropping up everywhere and challenging us and what little peace we have in this distorted world.

I dunno what you mean by that, but most people have been able to use their own magic powers here so I don't see why not.

However, according to our dimension expert here the Nexus is a bit low on magic, it might not work so well in this part of the Nexus, however it is connected to other realms where magic is stronger

With each conflict and rise in Chaos, Siccoth-benoth grows stronger we hypothesize. Upu ntil now, only beings from the various universes have appeared here. This is the first instance of an entire location being pulled into the Nexus. I hypothesize that this is proof that he is growing in strength, as this is thus far the most drastic distortion/displacement.

Yes, I would say Shadows are a bit similer to heartless, though Heartless are the darkness of a dead persons heart, a shadow is the repressed side of a living persons personality.

are one's "other self", a manifestation of their inner strength. Most of them aren't as pretty as mine, but they all give you the strength needed to fight some of the monsters that plague this place.

Also Kuma's description of attaining one of these powers is the most common method, but one can also "awaken their rebellious spirit" to get one. That's how I got mine. This way is different for everyone, but for me I basically got really, really angry.

Personally I'm an advocate of Darkness, the Darkness isn't what corrupts people, its the power it give that corrupts.

Darkness is very powerful and easy to use so many wish to use it as a shortcut to power, but if you treat it with the same caution you use with other magic, and train yourself over the years, It is simply just another form of magic.

While your opinion on darkness is very rational. I simply can't buy into it due to the influence that darkness has had upon my life. This force has easily managed to sever my bonds with people and make me lose faith in myself. It is only recently that I have finally escaped from the darkness and even now I still worry about it's potential to destroy my life.

Even if it is the power of darkness that corrupts I still refuse to trust such a force.

@Aqua No prob, It could also possibly be that the Darkness in your Dimension is entirely different from the Darkness elsewhere, Just because they operate similarly doesn't mean they're the same thing, Your Darkness may have some sort of corrupting factor to it that I am unaware of.

I didn't even take into account the different dimension factor. This only proves that I must experience more of this dimension before I am able to make a true judgement of the darkness within it.

@Aqua What I explained earlier was an understanding that my dimension came to via tests run in many different dimensions, we did notice your dimensions darkness was ever so slightly different so we sent a researcher to your dimension to run tests, that is the reason I was in your dimension to begin with when I came across Castle Oblivion, to gather the data found by his family line about your worlds "Darkness", and the concept of the "Heart". Our researcher was the ancestor to a man known as Ansem in your world.
