A ghoul is a humanoid being only able to gain nourishment from human flesh. They don't have to feed often, though, but there are some called "binge eaters" who eat just because they can. You can't distinguish them from real humans though... The only way you can tell them apart from humans is by their eyes when they change; Black sclera, red iris.

*He then grabs a scoop of house blend beans and pours them into the grinder. As he begins turning the crank, he looks at Mig.*

*Kalib turns back to the percolator as he picks up the kettle of boiling water, he slowly pours it over the ground beans. Allowing a beautiful mix of acidity and strong coffee notes to dance around the cafe.*

Surprisingly not Shinji. I feel like he'll be fine... but I can't help but shake the feeling someone else is not going to be fine....

There's one thing I don't understand about the Nexus still. I get why the TV World exists because that's literally the Collective Unconsciousness.... but why Tartarus? And why Mementos?
