i wish...
persona 5 is a good game overall, but i cant help but wish that it were... less... gross and unnecessary? in certain ways
like being able to date 3 or more (ive honestly lost track) adult women as a 16 yr old high school boy, leagues of misogyny, a running homophobic joke that couldnt be left at just one occurrence (which wouldve been tolerable at least) but brought back two or more times throughout the game, ryuji being reduced to a perverted dudebro pretty consistently in the mid-to-late part of the game, most other characters being disserviced constantly and in a big way (coughs ann and akechi coughs), among a number of other things.
like the game didnt need any of this stuff to be good. in fact, it makes it hard to play at times and detracts from the experience. sometimes i wish i could just go in with scissors and snip things out, because persona 5 is definitely one of my favorite games in the series, but i just cant bear to play it when it pulls that shit.
Please help me understand
I've been playing Persona 2: Innocent Sin for a while and... Is it just me or does the story make literally no cohesive sense? I've tried as hard as I can to understand the structure and pacing of the story, or at least try to ignore it, but it's impossible. Can anybody maybe shed some light on what the hell I'm supposed to take away from it? (PS: I love the characters and the game, I just don't get it at all)
