P5 the animation
Might've been discussed before, but what do you guys think about it? I'm actually excited for the show. I know they can't fit everything into like...30 or something episodes, but I do hope they at least get in the good stuff.
If the P4 animation is any indicator its likely to be quite good, even for non-fans. I just hope they do a good job keeping the style of the metaverse and everything. That is one of the best parts of P5, aesthetic and all
A1 Pictures +26 episodes= disaster waiting to happen

Hey if it does well then it might attract more people to try out the series and maybe get on this site.

@Akamoto_Shinji Lol
Out of curiosity, what's so bad about A1, Togo? I'm not the type to pay much attention to animation studios, but a quick Google search showed that they made stuff from Trinity Soul to Blue Exorcist. Animes of various quality, but I enjoyed the ones that I've seen. I may be missing something you know tho.

I think it's because they were the ones who did the Golden animation, Cait. But I'm hoping they learned from that mistake.

Kek. My revenge! Nice to see you use the site again!

Yeah I go on here when I'm super bored.
The problem with A1 is that most of their staff is actually comprised of contract workers. When they create something good, it's because they got a competent staff. If you want to know about the more common types of shows they produce, just look at the train wrecks that are Sword Art Online, Aldnoah Zero, and The Asterisk War. Most of their animation work is pretty awful, and they do a ton of corner cutting that makes it look really pretty to look at as long as you are hyper focused on the shot's focal point and not ANYWHERE else. They can produce some nice stuff from time to time, but the ratio of shows they've made that were critically acclaimed by the anime community to stuff that was abhorred is pretty abyssmal.
We could get lucky, but it's depressing Atlus would even give it to the assembly line production company of anime.
Atlus, you make anime cut scenes in your game. Just use the same people! They already do a great job!
There better be an english dub for it.

There better be an english dub for it. I can't believe you think this will make it better.
Contrary to popular belief, some people prefer dubs over subs. Light was just probably saying that out of personal preference, not because it would make the thing better/worse. Still, since the P4 anime had a dub, I bet it'll be the same for P5.
Did the P4 anime have the same dub actors as the game?
There better be an english dub for it. I can't believe you think this will make it better. Is this really necessary. As for A1, all I know of them are SAO apparently, and that video series DigiBro did shitting on...*wars where I think he more or less called them the McDonalds of anime.
Did the P4 anime have the same dub actors as the game? Mostly. The original voice actor for Kanji (Troy Baker) got swapped with Matthew Mercer mid-series, and the voices for Chie and Teddie were changed from the initial P4 English release. The replacements returned to voice their characters in later P4 releases, but I recall not many people noticing Kanji and Teddie's voice actors changed since they sounded so similar to the previous character voices. But other than those three, all the other actors from the PS2 release reprised their roles in the animation.
Too much hype.
Ditto there.

If you haven't seen the OG P4 Chie before, go look up a let's play.

I could've sworn her voice was deeper in the anime.
It's possible. She's the only voice of the original cast to still go uncredited after all, so it's difficult to confirm.
Yeah, never found out who she was or why she was uncredited. I understand if the game or character or performance sucked, but I thought all were good. I do think she sounds vastly different in Persona 4 The Animation. What's odd is, apparently, the voice actor went uncredited in Persona 4, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 4 Arena, and she was voiced by someone else in the anime (as she was credited), but another voice actor in Arena Ultimax, Persona Q, and Dancing All Night, once again, credited under a different name. It's very confusing.
