As a girl, I feel the Persona series is severely lacking in diversity.
Seriously, there's not one character of african descent in the latest entry. The few gay characters they have are villified. The majority of the female characters are dumb and I hate them. The protagonist is a generic white guy who uses a sword. Personally, i'm appaled that no one is willing to call out how offensive and insensitive this game is, asking for it to be ported to the switch is just promoting bigotry. Besides, most female party members cutting board chests that I just don't care for at all.

honestly, i do somewhat agree. pretty much all the characters in persona are hellla white. and the few lgbt characters are treated as jokes. They are all asian, mind you. The only white characters are Lisa Silverman from P2 and Ann Takamaki from P5, and that fact is important to their character as they are victims of prejudice and bullying over it That said, I can't say much for LGBT, but I will at least say the more tactful take is from P2 with the protagonist, Tatsuya Suou (Canonically Bi) and Jun Kurusu of the main cast, since they can become a thing and the feelings regardless are still canon and taken very seriously. A lot of the staff even considered this the canon romance option.

The Q games are canon in a sense. She is canon but its more like a split timeline like (Persona 2 Spoilers) with the Persona 2 games and it spawning the innocent sin timeline and the timeline the rest of the games take place in.
