Persona Tabletop RPG

Would there be any interest in a tabletop Persona game? Not sure which system I'd use as a base yet.

Any ideas are welcome!

like dungeons and dragons in terms of table top. turn based, dungeon crawling, rocks fall everybody dies. the works. I can host over Tabletop simulator because we all live around the globe

Only downside is that the sheets I found are kinda....unclear. But need be I can go through and homebrew some stuff.

I can't check discord right now, but the papers are there. It seems to be incomplete so I need to add a bit to make it work. But I'd be more than happy to run a campaign if people like it

There is a fan one, but it's not really that informative in terms of character creation and junk...so I need to go through and fix it up

Might be able to jury rig one if there's an SMT tabletop. :P But that's not as smooth and nice as a real Persona Tabletop.

My rule of thumb when it comes to tabletop rpgs, is make sure the players use their imagination. I had one group that had a monk who bought a jug of alcohol and a torch and he breathed fire with it.

One thing I thought about this idea. We'd need to either do all wildcards or none, I wouldn't want one guy in the party being better than everyone else.

I'd probably have everyone be wild cards. Strictly because it's no fun being left out of the role of Hero.

Hmm maybe do it more like P2/1? Everyone has arcana they're good with. I think a full team P3 on fools would be hard to balance for.

The P1/2 idea sounds pretty handy as a soft nerf to having multiple wild cards

Plus it'll be fun if i didn't had wild card coz survivability and strategy will truly on the line...or i die coz you know. Repel physical.

Yeah I thought so. Also would we keep navigators? I could see having them as long range fighters who are crap up close. With support magic a long range gun and either magic or physical skills. But I'm not sure they'd work as wildcards.

Part of the fun is having limits for your character, so it should be fine with say, one or even no wildcard for the group. Besides, people with one persona are lower maintenance

I could see 1 each working. Have Persona types as classes. We'd need more than the games though.

I don't want just one. Then everyone fights over who gets to be MC. It's like all Jedi or no Jedi in Star wars tabletops.

I see navigators as the white mages. Giving buffs and heals, and eventually dropping balls of magic cause Holy is so good omg

Id say limit to 1 wild card or have no wild card. I had a handful of ideas for a complete game but.. I have no clue how to put it all down on paper since I've never had the chance to actually do any tabletop gaming

Sub Personas could work yeah. Or maybe even being able to get more as you level? Something everyone can do but no one starts with.

I haven't been paying attention to any of this but why not do it like P1 or P2 where Wild Cards weren't a thing and everyone could hold like, what was it? 3 Persona?

Oh hell I'd likely not use P5 stuff.

No you had a stock of 8 in two. I forget if it grew but they were shared. Also I think starting might be an issue. Either you awaken everyone in session one. Or they start with Persona

I don't remember 2 very well tbh but iirc in P1 everyone could hold like 3 Personas at a time

I mean I could be wrong but either wya we could do a mix of P1/PQ where they have a primary Persona but two slots for others yknow
so like say Kalib could have Leonidas on him at all times, with say Pixie and Slime in stock
just a thought

And then swap between the 3 as a primary to gain the elemental attributes? But being able to use the skills of the others at any time?
