So I talked about this last night, and I would have made this thread earlier but I didn't wake up until 1 PM central time, so yeah. Sorry about that.

Anyway, for the uninformed, SMT Imagine was an official SMT-themed MMO complete with demon negotiations and alignment system. The west only got it for a few years, and the official servers shut down last year in Japan. But, fear not; there's a chinese with optional english patch you can find here: http://megatenonline.proboards.com/thread/1035/chinese-private-server-play

So with that out of the way, let's all start playing together! I started a long time ago, but I dropped off since none of my friends were playing anymore. I think it could be a fun time. Just reply or something if you want to give it a shot. I'll probably bump this thread later on, so our friends who have to work today can see it.

I honestly never got far into the game because I couldn't wrap my head around the game as a child. (Didn't stop me from trying though)

I can confirm Guilds are thing, though they are technically called Clans I believe.

Your Clan has a hometown and depending on the hometown the price to make it can vary from 10,000 to 100,000 Macca.

Shinjuku Babel is probably the best choice to use as a Clan's Base since it's basically the center of the world map, but Home III is the first area and the cheapest. I probably have the cash to set it up if I can access my old account, the only question is which would be the better place

@Liam: If I remember correctly the bases that cost 100k are the Alignment cities. While I don't think there's anything preventing a Chaos character from entering the Law City, it would be a bit awkward to put it in either of those towns.

I'm currently using an old English client to get the game in English. But when I'm done I'll try and meet up with anyone else online and, if I have the cash, try and set up the Clan. If I can, I may or may not be broke.

Do note to everyone here, there is a user on Page 2 who links you to the original English installer. If you follow their instructions, you can play the game entirely in English.

No, it isnt pay2win, most objects you can buy with real money is cosmetic... but you can just buy the same items off other players for ingame cash anyway so

Demons, same as every other main series SMT, the world ended and now there are demons so fight them.

World got destroyed, Demons are everywhere, humans have holed themselves up in a few safe spots and Devil Busters go out and fight demons.

Yes there is only one server, it is a private server after all.

The reason why the NPCs might be anime characters or cute girls is because the Chinese server client has custom character models for most NPCs. If you want a more authentic experience, you can do what I did, and use the Aeria client to install the game, and overwrite some of the files in the Aeria client with the Chinese Server ones
aside from changing the character models to the actual ones, this will also make the entire game in English, and fix the music glitches, at least for me
i explained how to do this way earlier and im tired so i wont give a step by step guide here

Yes, then you will become a God! Also important to note, launch the game from the new client not from the desktop icon installing the client gives you.

you can fuse and use any demon regardless of alignment but the mag cost can increase a LOT
so you need Mag to summon demons and if you're a chaos player, then high level law demons will have insane mag costs compared to a chaos demon
