The World
So does anyone have an explanation to why Protag in P5 gets the Word AFTER the game is over? Perhaps it's just a path to another game, or DLC?
Because he's a copycat that's why.
The World represents the completion of a journey, thus it makes sense for him to get it once his journey is over.
Figures, but seriously, Yuki got The Universe for the final battle, same with Narikami and the world. There must be some logical explanation. Altus rarely leaves plot holes.
I suppose so, but why would the others get it before the final battle. Is there something we're missing?
Because akira had no reason to get it. Yaldabo was weak, akira is weak. No need for such strong arcana. Thzy hid his weakness by still giving it to him
Well, P5's and P4's version of a "shadow world" are very similar in idea not to mention both games kind of have very similar messages, not sure how those things relate to getting the world in the end but there might be a connection there
@Liam, if he is weak there'd be no possibility of him getting The World.

@Yu-Narukami, perhaps, but I doubt that has any plot relevance and more just, Atlus likes the idea of human desires influencing the other world. I too like the idea.
It's yet more weird stuff that makes me think Akira's stay in jail was a late addition (to make up for removing Hifumi as a party member).

As for a reason, I always assumed that Igor explaining The World was just a formality. Heck, when Morgana "dies" he even says that "The World exists within all of you."
I assumed Morgana was talking about the world itself, pertaining to the fact that they 'left space for morgana' in their cognition.
Maybe it has to do with what the protagonists affect yu and joker affect the world while what P3's protagonist affects the universe.
That's true, Yuki destroyed the concept of death itself.. a universal idea. Whereas Desires, and Trueselves are exclusive to humans as far as we know.
Still doesn't explain why Akita got it after he already affected the world
because satanael should have been world arcana but atlus probably forgot the world arcana was still a thing until the end
honestly i dont know but i think either it's for a possible spin-off/sequel or just an oversight
If it's an over sight, I hope Altus dies a nice save and makes a free spring break doc or something, because I'm not satusfued
There's a theory running around which says that Satanael was supposed to be Akira's initial Persona, but when that thing with Shido happened, his heart was chained up because reasons and his Persona weakened, becoming Arsène.
But I could also be that Fool's Journey end thing, yeah.
@BigBootyBitches he got it as pitty from devs
Honestly Satanael being flagged as fool took me by surprise. But then again, that may be their way of not having to make all the extra tags for World just for one Persona.
That's an interesting point. That would make him have the strongest base persona.
Actually @Kazuya that's an interesting theory. Since the game's director has said that originally Akira's Persona would have been Mephistopheles.
Or maybe Satanael isn't an Ultimate Persona, but Akira's Prime Persona.
Back in P2, there were Initial, Prime, and Ultimate Personas. And in P4G the party could awaken to new Persona 2 times.
What if Satanael isn't even Akira's own Persona? Since it's only created when the Phan-Site poll hits 100%, what if it's actually the Persona of the entirety of Tokyo being channeled through Akira?
I'm suddenly remembering the joke about how in P3 it was the Universe, in P4 it was the World, and in P5 it'd be the City.
That's funny
The Cuty, Satanael
City* oops
