Well, it isn't Caesar Cipher. If not that, than Vigenere. But we don't have a key, as far as I'm aware. We need that in order to decide it if it's Vigenere.

I have been given strict instructions by the author not to give hints on this occasion. It would seem to me that he wishes to test your intuition, and the lengths you will go to solve such things as these.
I will, however, break this rule only once to inform that he does not reside keys for ciphers written in the Vigenere format. But you already have your key. You merely have to find it.

OOC: actually most vigenere decoders have an option to guess the key in which they quickly try all of them and tell you in order of likelihood.

OK I'm almost home so I can look more efficiently soon. But I think in regards to the Liber Primus, it's worth looking into Kōan. Noted as "a story, dialogue, question, or statement, which is used in Zen practice to provoke the "great doubt" and test a student's progress in Zen practice" on Wikipedia it may be what the master and student clue refers to.

THE STUDENT TOLD THE MASTER HIS NAME.

"THAT IS NOT WHO YOU ARE, THAT IS ONLY WHAT YOU ARE CALLED.

WHO ARE YOU WHO WISHES TO STUDY HERE?" HE ASKED AGAIN.

THE MAN THOUGHT FOR A MOMENT, AND REPLIED. "I AM A PROFESSOR."

"THAT IS WHAT YOU DO, NOT WHO YOU ARE," REPLIED THE MASTER.

"WHO ARE YOU WHO WISHES TO STUDY HERE?"

CONFUSED, THE MAN THOUGHT SOME MORE.

FINALLY, HE ANSWERED, "I AM A HUMAN BEING."

"THAT IS ONLY YOUR SPECIES, NOT WHO YOU ARE.

WHO ARE YOU WHO WISHES TO STUDY HERE?", ASKED THE MASTER AGAIN.
AFTER A MOMENT OF THOUGHT, THE PROFESSOR REPLIED, "I AM A CONSCIOUSNESS INHABITING AN ARBITRARY BODY."

"THAT IS MERELY WHAT YOU ARE, NOT WHO YOU ARE.

WHO ARE YOU WHO WISHES TO STUDY HERE?"

THE MAN WAS GETTING IRRITATED.

"I AM," HE STARTED,

BUT HE COULD NOT THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY, SO HE TRAILED OFF.
AFTER A LONG PAUSE THE MASTER REPLIED, "THEN YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME STUDY."

Wait a sec. Since the message mentioned forgetting who you (we) are, and the koan Ari3s posted is about a student figuring out who they are... Is the culprit the site itself? We as a whole aren't P.H.A.N.S., or the Hunters of Sin or any other group. We just are. And combined we make up the site. Without us this would be a near empty Internet page after all...
