OOC: Alright, so I'll be resuming this now, just for people to understand that this is a narrative based system where enemies are dealt with faster when more detail is added to describing an attack. I want about 6 people at the maximum I think, but I'm not too strict especially since the first part of this will be a little on the abstract side. Also, this has to do with my own infection plot but you don't need to have participated in earlier threads for it to matter too much, just know that there is an infection and doing this dungeon leads to a chance for your character to become infected with it. Without further ado, who would like to join on this journey into the world of the crawling chaos?

*It's a gentle summer day in Shibuya...the wind is blowing peacefully in this not so busy city. Everything seems normal, but a restaurant somewhere in the city has had a sudden change. The restaurant has been abandoned for years but was never fully emptied and looked run down with broken windows and tabled that are ready to collapse. However, among what's left of the restaurant the front door is in surprisingly good shape and appears to be made of a refined black substance. The door gives off an evil aura and sends a shiver down the spine of anyone who approaches.*

Hm? Well that's new. I've been down this street everyday since getting here and I've never seen this before...

*Kalib shrugs as his curiosity gets the better of him. He breathes deeply before approaching the door. A feeling of unease washes over him as the chill runs down his spine.*

Well...this can't be good...

*Gamma walks by the restaurant on his way back into the city. He doesn't notice the door at first. At least until he feels its aura. He turns to the door*
Well, looks like something interesting is going on at least. I suppose I should take a peek

*Upon noticing the mist pouring out, Kalib feels another wave of unease. After a moment, he swallows his fear and slowly walks into the open doorway.*

Great. I go out for a stroll, and I end up on some adventure with you two. Guess it can't be helped.

*He shrugs just before Mitsuru enters the scene, he quickly turns to her and offers a handshake*
Well, glad I won't be the only competent one on the team. I was simply passing by as I noticed this. Guess I can't very well leave it alone though, can I?

*As the party enters the door a chill fills the area and they enter into a hallway made of darkness. When the final step is made through the door it slams shut and disappears, at the end of the hall a red door frame can be seen.*

Well, I was just having a nice stroll when I noticed this place. Then some other people showed up and we figured "hey, this looks creepy enough, lets check it out". And that's about as far as I know we've gotten.

*He unsheathes Crescent Rose and casually leans on it.*

And no, to answer your question. A being doesn't need a reason to exist. However, beings do find purpose in their existence, and only then do they truly begin living. As for your previous question, I wouldn't say that this place feels like despair, just, it's unknown. And as a man of science, the unknown is a chance to learn and discover more answers in this world.

*The figures hand extends forward becoming stretchy and gaining a sludge-like consistency as it tries to wrap around Klib*

*Gamma turns back to the figure, staff in hand*

*Apollo rushes forth in a burst of flames and sends a wave of Nuclear energy into the creature as Tatsuya runs over and tries to pull Kalib away"

*Gamma's thief outfit, a long black coat with a white mask that only covers one side of his face, appears around him. At the same time a blue flame winds around Gamma several times, leaving the image of an eastern dragon in its wake. The dragon roars, and six spears of ice form around Gamma, then converge on the dark figure*

Real shame, he did say please, but I can't die today sorry. I've got plans later! Leonidas! Inferno!

*Kalib is swathed in the inferno of flames. Slowly, the fire begins moving towards Kalib's right arm in an attempt to burn the creature's hold as the flames make their way onto the trident, ultimately imbuing it with flame.*

*Drawing her sword, Mistsuru takes a step in to close any distance between her and the figure before slashing at it torso and following up with three quick thrusts of her blade. Artemisia readies her sword-whip as a light blue aura washes over her.*

*Just as the figure is pondering the spears of light a burst of nuclear fire engulfs it.*

*The ice dives into the fire but is simply melted by the intense heat*
???: Do ice and fire mix?
*Klib lights himself ablaze causing the creature's arm to burst into a splash of black sludge that stains his clothes*
???: Is this pain?
*Mitsuru finally closes in on the figure and slashes at it causing ti to implode into black sludge, covering all nearby*

That could have gone better.... Now to get this off before it leaves a stain, or tries to consume me.

*Artemisia floats to the ground and the two work to try and remove the sludge before something inevitably happens.*

I can see working with Tatsu is going to be even more of a pain than normally because his fire attacks will reduce or negate the effects of many of my ice ones. Which means I'll have to rely on dark which Tatsu will probably decide to use light to negate instead.

*Gamma turns to Tatsuya and speaks sarcastically*

*Tatsuya switch to Sarsvati and tries to raise an Earth wall to protect himself and Kalib*

Ah yes, its a valid tactic to try randomly blowing up doors, but invalid to attack a highly suspicious thing that keeps vaguely threatening you and trying to get closer. Makes sense.

Waiter: Ah, yes. It's right here, you're a bit late but it's fine. Mr. Suou is a very important guest after all.
*The waiter turns the list around and the only name on it is, Tatsuya. In small letters next to it is also printed, and friends.*
Waiter: Right this way to your table then...
*The waiter walks through a door in the back of the room*

*Em walks away from the group a bit and turns invisible. Those who can sense energy can still feel his presence.*

*The waiter guide the party into a room with many tables and fancy furnishing, shadowy people in fancy suits and dresses sit at the table eating and drinking. The waiter walks up to a table large enough to accommodate the whole party before seating them and handing them menus. The table overlooks the rest of the restaurant.*

*While invisible, Em walks around the room looking at physical features about it.*

What would even be on the menu in a restaurant meant for Shadows? It's a strange thing.

*She takes her menu and peruses it.*

*The menu has things typically expected of an Italian restaurant including a wine menu. The most surprising thing about it is a message written within, "All Items on menu are free to any and all Persona users"*

*The spectral spartan appears beside Kalib with a roar. While the pair charge at S.Kalib, the real Kalib's eyes begin burning bright with flames.*

*Kalib slides past S.Kalib on the left, slashing at his legs. Meanwhile, Leonidas dashes past S.Kalib on the right, trying to slash at his torso.*

*Mitsuru raises her blade as Aretmisia uncurls her sword-whip. While maintaining her form, Mitsuru charges at Shadow Aitome, stopping when in range to aim a downwards slash at it's front before attempting to bring it back upwards to defend after trying to land her two attacks. Aretemisia, still glowing with a light blue aura, launches her sword-whip at Shadow Kalib, trying to disrupt what he's doing by latching onto his neck and slamming him to the ground after Kalib's attack with Leonidas.*

*Gamma's slashes knock the shadows back and form scratches that a black sludge leaks from on all of them*

*Parties agility is increased*

*Shadow Klib is struck with spears of light from the ground disabling their movement*

*Tatsuya clashes against his shadows blade allowing him to tear through it as the broken blade turns into black ashes*

*Klib slashes at his shadow in unison with his Persona at his stunned shadow and cuts of its leg which turns into a black goopy form while his Persona leaves a large gash in its torso*

*Mitsuru slashes at shadow Aitome with a downward strike but they continue concentrating trying to shrug it off. Mitsuru proceeds to slam the beaten shadow Klib to the ground causing him to become nothing more than a pile of sludge*

*Shadow Tatsuya forms two dark blades in his hands before surrounding them with a dark flame and striking at Tatsuya on both sides*

*Shadow Em forms a spear of twisted light and rushes at Klib honing in on his side before attempting to strike his blind spot*

*Shadow Mitsuru continues to build walls of ice in a strange formation*

*Shadow Gamma rushes at Gamma in retaliation and swing at him from above with a staff made out of a dark substance*

*Shadow Aitome send out a wave of dark flames at everyone, the flames avoid making contact with the other shadows*

*Aitome climbs up the ice wall using the increased agility, and runs across using her Envoker while running, Aitome then reaches S.Aitome and does a jumping strike while Kitsune slashes wildly at the shadow

*However he was too slow and S.Em lands a hefty blow, dropping Kalib to his knees, and knocking the fire from his eyes. He coughs up a bit of blood as he grins, looking up at the shadow.*

*He wipes the blood from his mouth, and stands up weakly. The flames in his eyes roaring to life once more.*

Emerson almost killed me the first time he used Bless magic, so get your weak ass shit out of here! Leonidas, NOW!

*Kalib drops his trident and instead gets up and aims and uppercut for S. Em's jaw. Meanwhile, Leonidas appears behind S. Em and roars as tendrils of darkness come from above and below the shadow attempting to skewer it after the uppercut.*

*Gamma tries to block his shadow's strike with his own staff, but is knocked back by the wave of fire, putting him just out of his shadow's reach. He soon recovers to his feet*

*Gamma strikes the shadow's staff with his own, aiming to knock it out of their hand, as he looks around to see how the others are faring*

*Em is hit by some of the waves of flame, and uses Crescent Rose, which is still stick in the ground, to avoid the rest.
Surveying the battlefield, he sees Kalib being attacked by multiple targets.*

Alright, tally ho!

*Em turns CR towards Shadow Em, and fires into the ground below him, sending him directly towards his Shadow self. Once he draws in from the air, he attempts to slash at his torso and land on top of him.*

*Raising her hands to try and block some of the flames, Mitsuru can't avoid taking heavy damage from them. She staggers a bit, but renews her efforts and stabs her rapier at Shadow Aitome six times. Right arm, left arm, thrice towards the torso, and the last aimed for the head.*

*Artemisia sends her sword-whip to Shadow Mitsuru, aiming to wrap it around her stomach and pull her over closer to the real one.*

OOC: Em nulls dark.

*Gamma attempt to knock his shadow's staff out of its hand and surprisingly, it lets him only for the old one to turn to black ash and a new one to form in its hand.*

*Em tries to slash at his shadow using an air strike but because it had a chance to recover it blocks the strike with a blade of twisted light*

*Without one of its arms Shadow Aitome is defenseless against Mitsuru's onslaught and is cut to pieces melting into a shadowy puddle*

*Tatsuya attacks his shadow with a light enhanced blade but the light fades away as Tatsuya cuts at the shadow and it blocks with its two blades which become destroyed*

*Shadow Tatsuya discards it's blades and instead forms in it's hands a copy of the chain sword Tatsuya is holding but only warped and made of a black substance*

Shadow Tatsuya: You'll...be sorry...

*Shadow Tatsuya slashes at Tatsuya's head with the chain sword attempting to try and cut it off with the spinning blades*

*Shadow Em backs away from em before pulling out a gun similar to the one Em has and shoot a shot of almighty energy at them*

*Shadow Mitsuru get's pulled close but just smiles at Mitsuru, she then pulls out a chain sword and whips it towards the ice wall which it bounces off of and back to Mitsuru*

*Shadow Gamma begins melting without Gamma's presence to sustain it*

*He back but the blade scraps against his neck and blood starts to flow from the wound*

*Tatsuya's hand cannon appears in his left hand and he fires off a couple ice rounds at the shadow's chest as Apollo rushes into it and attempts to smash it from the left side with a few punches*

*Em cuts the Almighty shot with Crescent Rose, but the energy phases right thought it, hitting him right in the face.
Quickly recovering, he sheathes CR and pulls out his gun and the same time, also dropping a cartridge on the floor from the Gun.
He then places a Purple cartridge into the gun, and switches it to it's Sword form, which glows purple.*

Thank the gods Tatsu came up with this idea.

*Em points the sword towards his Shadow and presses a button, shooting a wave of Psi directly at it.*

*Kalib holds his side, stopping any excessive bleeding as Leonidas appears behind him with a grunt. The spectral spartan raises his arms and as if from Hell itself, the ground births pools of flame that shoot up at the remaining shadows. He shouts over the flames to Tatsuya.*

*Shadow Mitsuru pulls back their attack and avoids Artemisia's attempt to hold her down*

*Shadow Mitsuru begins losing consistency as she launches a multitude of shadowy tendrils at Mitsuru*
