So, I've noticed a growing amount of Angst and deathtalk Among the Nexus, And I've been thinking about how to bring back some more happiness.

The obvious Idea would be more Slice of Life, but I wanna go deeper, so I thought, and came to the conclusions that it's the Villains.

There's nothing wrong with the villains we have, Everyone loves a good plot with a big bad at the end to save the world, but I noticed that almost all the active villains are just that. End the world, Kill people, Make everyone miserable.

So I thought, what if we had villains with different goals? Sure they wanna end the world, but they do it in a lighthearted fashion.

Hades
Villains that are effectual, but don't promote angst.
Villains that are threatening, but not "I'm gonna murder babies" threatening.
Like maybe more Saturday morning villains
Less final fantasy/tales/Persona villains.

What do you all think about it?

Yeah, we have a few, but none seem to do anything than meme around right now....

It would be a nice change of pace to be able to comment on the absurdity of the villains as opposed to just the ones I'm working with. I would like for people like Aku to do small things in between our "major" villains like Nyarly.

Right, Like the monster of the week pattern, The Saturday morning villain pattern. It would definitely ease up on the Angst surrounding the site.

Well I was going to create another account, so I could make that into a Saturday morning cartoon, I may already even have a ridiculous plot. Just need someone to discuss and go with.

To Reiterate, I don't mean to say that the Villains/Plot is the problem, But that they could be the solution to what may be a problem.

Yeah the problem isn't what we're trying to get at. Since I think all of us have contributed in some way or another over the last few weeks.

And I mean walking into a bunch of Palaces, Leblanc being destroyed, and most of us commenting about people who died or about what Satan/Succoth/<Sin of the Month>/Nyarly/Chronos/Etc are doing must be intimidating for a newcomer.

It's a nice idea and I hate to throw my few cents in since I gave up on participating, but the thing is the problem is VERY important. If you want a solution you have to focus on the problem. The sentiment is nice and I mean no offense but it feels like you're trying to find solutions without actually addressing the problems, and I can't see that leading to anything but more problems.

Also, from an outsider reading in...
there is a lot wrong with the villains you have. Succoth especially.

As a member of the ELOE, I am technically a villain. I starts wars randomly and I'm currently planning a plot of plotting plans in which the Nexus shall be taken over...with memes.

I mean it's kinda true. Izanami was pulled out by Yu, Aku is doing his own thing, none of the evil scientists ever formally joined, I'm not sure what the deal is with Nort right now, and I'm gonna rip Succoth's spine out sooner rather than later.
