So? Where have I been?

So, I've been around since what Rpers call the gluttony arc, and I've loved this place and most people here. When I first joined, I was a judgmental selfish prick, I said crap, I treated others like trash, I threw little temper tantrums even. I like to think that I'm at least a bit better now thanks to this place. I've seen how this place has changed over time, when I first joined, to now. I've caused a bunch of problems myself due to my pettiness (I'm looking at you GM room incident) *Ramble Ramble* My point is, I'm an Rper, I enjoy memes in moderation, so I ain't bashing or anything, but recently, I've been lurking a LOT, mainly because there's not much Rp that I find particularly interesting. So, I ain't leaving the site or anything, but I'm gonna continue to lurk until I find a really interesting plot or story or fight or something. Heck, I may even try my own little thing. But, anyway, I wanted all my friends here to know why I've been gone for a while. And why I'll probably still be gone. That's all, sorry.

Honestly I've been trying to force myself to stay interested in most of the site lately. Sorry to say but there's only so many times I can spar with Aitome at GYM before even that gets boring. I could launch into a looooooooong rant about what I think we need to do more. And all I'd do is just get people coming in here being like "rabble rabble if you don't like what we're doing than do your own thing." I would, if it would get more interest than just Aigis and that one troll with 2 billion alts.

@Bgammax Uhh.... I don't know, stuff like, Ene's plot. The succ plot, the sin and Nyarly plots. Maybe like, a reoccurring villain, with clever plans, puzzle bosses, simple yet well thought out plots where you can stick your character in and get the main gist almost immediately like Palaces, or Memntos. just some general ideas that come to mind. AndI don't just expect people to make plots just for me. As I said, I hope to make my own little plot line hopefully.

Oh no I'm not saying anyone needs to stop. Just that.... when one thing is all we have, especially one thing that's kinda.... Outlandish, began as a meme, and is more or less comprised of super niche one-off threads.... It can turn off a lot of people. To be quite honest I think a lot of our issues come down to just lack of people starting stuff and an overabundance of fear about stepping on people's toes. Honestly, the site right now reminds me of how stopped-up and single-focused things got during the old Ira days. Right before the sin plot imploded. Just without Leblanc to give us a "post as little or as often as you want" hangout.

Honestly, I'd be starting something, but tournament arcs take quite a bit of time, and one of the first things I'd have to do is a neat new power-up. So gonna have to wait until after the tournament.... Maybe I could request a replacement.

Not really talking about you, lol As a member of the staff, seeing people lose interest is something I don't like seeing. That's a given, really. However, I cannot and will not force you to stay. You do you, that's about all there is to it.

@Bgammax Yeah, the only problem with my interest in the tournament, is that I missed recruitment Hehehe, I do be interested in the other thing you mentioned, will we need to have followed Gamma's plot to understand what's happening? Cuz as much as I hate to admit, I've missed most of that. (I've missed a lot of the interesting character arcs actually, now that I think about it......) @hazama Trust me, I'm too invested in this place to leave, don't you worry about that. Just gonna be hidden in the shadows for a bit. Also, I would appreciate it if this didn't become a thread that invites or breeds hostility or conflict. Thanks for undahstandingu ^-^ And Hibiki, mind shedding light on some basic information on those plots? I might want to join one and I suck at finding plots, cuz I'm a lazy butt.

Honestly, I think I missed so much because I stopped checking the site at work, because, well... work, and my workplaces WiFi blocks the site, and using data kills the battery, and all around problems like that.

You also missed so much because Gamma's development has been spread out AF so I can't reasonably trust any single human being to keep up with it. That's part of why I asked for a special room on the discord, to help those who mostly respond

Sorry am playing game and a ha ckin and slashin, so I won't be able to give as much in detail but off the top of my head aside from the one Yu thing, I've seen the tournament thing which I know is too late to join, i think there was a multi part dungeon story thing, not sure if its still going, and not to mention the cluster of rift stuff going on I can't keep track of and then there are a bunch of character arcs going on like Gamma's of course, Cait I think is in the middle of one, I've seen a few new characters recently dropping their own, I'm preparing to start one myself semi secretly, and there's the train man Sorry if I came across as rude, I'm just not fond of people acting like nothing is happening when I've seen a couple individual things going on all the time Maybe not on the scale of the sins but lets be real, its for the best

I'm thinking I might start up a plot soon, but having a few problems. Last time I threw a plot up, while it was a different account, it was played more light hearted yet few people actually sought it out. 2. I'm more a gm that's like, go explore and won't be leading as that's not my style. I'm not sure that style really works here and I'm having trouble with the other style. 3. Investment. Put it simply, I'm not sure I really have interesting characters or concepts. For example I was thinking that sometime soon I'll have my namesake rp character crack and have a plot dedicated to that and his palace, but far as I can tell my stories isn't that interesting to most people. So if I'm going to do one, I need some help creating it

It's okay Hibiki. It's how you are. :P Honestly my issue is largely my own timing. Afternoons are dead on here now that school is a thing for folks. And I work during the "prime time" for RP. And then the nights are kinda hit and miss. Sometimes there's a ton, other times there's nothing.
