In terms of a DnD alignment system, I'd say Rom tries to be Lawful, but ends up slightly leaning towards Chaotic. (As in he tries to help others, but his tactics may affect other people negatively) since he's slightly more conniving, weaving up a small lie depending on his trust in others, and it adjusts based on that, leading to a trap for "Bad people" and whatnot. Not sure if that's how that alignment works, but y'know...
So yeah, Chaotic Good.
