As the one who picks these people, I say Yu did an excellent job at fulfilling his purpose.

But I do admit, Akira is... charming.

I would say Minato is the best.

Real talk:
I actually think P5's MC actually is the best. From the style, to the attitude, to how he handles himself with the situations that he ends up with, it's just fun to witness.

P3 and P4 were more in line with the silent protagonist blank slate. P3 was the Messiah that tired to save the world from harsh combat that came at him, P4 was a similar situation.
P5 everyone went looking for trouble, originally to inspire hope, and not just save the world behind the scenes.

Also, it's a fly coat.

The coat is indeed, fly as fuck.

I'd say Akira certainly does have a lot more personality and character than the others, as Joker said the others were blanker and easier to project onto. Plus he is very hottt

I'm not entirely fond of the fact he's less of a blank slate myself. He's not really blank enough to be an avatar but he's not got enough character to be, well, a character in his own right. It's some weird in between.

That and I don't like his cliché dork by day, badass by night thing. Woulda been more interesting if he was a dorky phantom or a confident high school kid all the time.

P3MC still king imo. Only one good enough for the Universe, too.

Man Spook is a good mc

Personally, Minato (Makoto, Yuki, whatever) is my favorite because of Persona 3, and he isn't personality driven, like the other stories eventually did. He's literally just a blank character, and you fill in his personality.

Flynn is the best mc

Best? I don't know, a certain bunny-looking boy comes to mind as being a god-tier protagonist. However, Joker is without a doubt, the most SMUG MegaTen protagonist we've had yet.

While P3 is my favourite game and I have a bias for the MCs of it, I really think Akira's the best written Persona protag.

Akira has gotta be one of the better MCs so far. He's got charm, and has an actual personality, unlike previous MCs.

P5MC is up there. I don't know if he has more personality than Maya or Tatsuya, though I think he's the best in the sense that he functions as a character AND blank slate depending on how much you pay attention/care to write off.

I'm still standing by FeMC in P3P though. FeMC and Aigis was the greatest thing.

Well, he's the most talkative so far of the series. ( Not including the animations.)
