Things that you disliked in Persona 5?
The game is great and definitely one of the best in the series, but no game is perfect.
I personally didn't like the fact that game felt more restrictive, also I wished there were more plot unrelated events.

What about you?
Remember what Haru did outside of her plot palace?
Neither do I.
echoing that i wish there were more friendship scenes!!

also i'm still mad that there was no option for futaba at hawaii or during the school festival!!
It got delayed for ages and apparently takes up all of atlus' marketing while they pretend that etrian odyssey 5 doesn't exist
Personally, I feel like the true ending has a really lame buildup. The game goes from trying to expose corrupt criminals to fighting the manifestation of human desire way too quickly. Also in general its way to easy to get the true end.
To my knowledge, none of the romances lead to a kiss. That's what you work for!!
Theres an ann kiss.
Ann Takamaki.
While it's never really stated some palaces were obviously intended to take several entries from when you can go there, like the Okumura space station, that kinda took forever. Then it had a bit of a marathon boss at the end.
There really wasn't too much I didn't like about it, which echos how good it is.

But yeah, I wish there were more free nights, and more available Futaba events (something could have been slipped in for her platonically like with Haru, for the festival especially)
Lastly, some of the palaces were a little tiring to go through, especially Shidos. Some puzzles are annoying like the airlock puzzle and the combinations.

But these are minor complaints, everything else is fantastic.
this isn't really a complaint, but i wish they'd make going on dates with your girlfriend(s) have some sort of benefit!! it feels so weird to hook up with someone and then just stop talking to them for the rest of the game!!
For real though I'm pretty satisfied with it and I don't think it has as many problems as some people say, but it's just opinions. The only things I really dislike are:
Ann Takamaki (That wasn't a joke, I actually hate her)
and basically every part of Shido's Palace that involves turning into Mice. Fuck that entire Palace. Those sections ruined it.
Alright, this'll be fun.

In terms of gameplay, Futaba's palace SUCKED. It was tedious, and the enemies were beyond frustrating. Okumura's was just as bad, but it's even worse because you have to deal with Morgana's hissy fit for the first part of it. Okumura's boss was super lame too.

The confidants were all consistently good, but why couldn't the main cast get that sort of development? Seriously, Ann and Haru in particular get shafted in terms of screen time.

P5 gets a 9/10 from me, but godamn did it piss me off sometimes, and not from difficulty.
Personally, I'd want more of an option to probe some of the characters with dialogue rather than being set in stone, but I'm afraid it might take away the character that's been established as the protagonist. Also access to the Warden fight in the first playthrough instead of NG+ feature would've been a nice way to feel more satisfied in my opinion.
@pure-anon Agreed, like they could text you about going on a date the next day and you could go or decline, and it would bring more into having a relationship with someone in the game
So many nights were thrown away because of you are tired excuse. Most of the times you didn't even go to a palace and morgana is like you are tired go sleep. I wanted to spend way more time with my phantom group and last but not least the ending felt pretty rushed.
"You must be tired!"
"Let's waste a day writing a calling card!"
"Ooh, let's bin protag to waste 2 months like a real persona game."
The only thing I didn't like was Mishima
I agree that Haru didn't get much screen time at all, which really annoyed me.
She's one of my favorite characters overall, and I think she could've have a lot more potential if she was further developed.
I mean, all most people get from her is ' lol forehead XD am i cool yet lol '
@Hibiki I actually liked those mice sections.

I'm probably in minority though.
All of the team brainwashed
Ryuji and Thin Hallways with enemies, that's all
More Trips,More Hang out Scenes could have improved it.
Also give me my Christmas and New Years.
yea, I felt the characters had MUCH less fun than in previous games, they even admit that the Hawaii trip wasn't much fun...
There wasn't a hot spring scene.
Now that we got that out of the way, the game itself was pretty solid but I didn't like kinda "meh" attitude at Hawaii.
I dislike the fact that I can not date Yusuke. Like... it's not even for fujoshi reasons or anything I am a man that swings both ways and the only person that interested me was Yusuke and I can't even date him. I do not like any of the ladies.
Time constraints maybe? I know they thought about it in Persona 4, but they only left some voice files.
Still, how did that affect your overall experience?
The fact that you instantly get a game over if joker dies, even though he could be recarm'd just like any other party member too. Especially fun with insta-kill moves.
@ZaWardo @Akamoto_Shinji Yeah, Hawaii was kind of a letdown. The worst thing is that it was the only major event outside main plot.
I hated mice sections to and somehow I really disliked to solve puzzles at the dungeon. It's not a something I am used to. Yet overall P5 was a great experience for me. And I also want to add that romances could be way better.
@Yozora but in the other games it was the same.
It's mostly normal tht this happens.
I mean in Smt you have that sometimes as well and in fire emblem too-
And i can understand the reason behind that.
No male romances (I REALLY wanted to romance Yusuke), no 'at night' talking to your friends like P4G, camera angles are a bit weird, no funky student and outside of Mementos requests.
@Aki-Joker
Well, sure, it has kind of always been there and you get used to it, but that doesn't make it any better.
You could get used to having cancer too, but that doesnt' change the fact that you don't need it and life would be better without it.
Maybe we'll see a Persona 5 Portable like in Persona 3 where you can play both genders.
Well to me it felt like it focused a bit too much on the main plot rather than give the characters some time to bond and stuff.

But it somehow feels more SMT-ish than the last 2 Persona games. Minus the difficulty, that is.
liz
get rid of the effimate guys that went after ryuji, that "joke" is stupid. they get away w the moment, which sucks.
For stuff I can remember off the top of my head,

-Haru's near non-existent presence
-Along with Ann and Yusuke not really having much to do after their arcs
-Shido's palace
-Akechi's reveal and downfall. I had no problem with him being the traitor, but I felt it could've been done better. I really liked him as simply being a foil to your group, but then you find out it was all a load of BS for what was honestly probably not the greatest of reasons. Then after he's beaten, he get's off way too easy, being pretty much forgiven for everything just because "you're like us". Finally, he gets unceremoniously gets "killed" off by his cognitive version and is never mentioned again.
-Didn't really have an issue with it when playing, but after seeing it mentioned here, I'll agree that the build up to Ya'll, Da Bath probably could've been a bit better.
-The gameplay being overly focused on All-Out Attacks. Persona 3 and 4 actually had some variety by giving you reasons not to just spam AOA. P3 had it where getting up would actually cost a turn and P4 had it to where you'd get dizzied it hit with a weakness while downed and both had enemies who where resistant to physical attacks, meaning AOAs against them weren't very effective. Between Hold Ups and those kickass victory screens that I never get tired of, I can see why it is the way it is, but more variety in the gameplay would've been nice.
-The fact that the AOA victory screens don't use whatever costume the character is wearing. It looks jarring as hell when Joker is fighting in his normal clothes and you get an AOA kill only to have it show him in his Phantom Their outfit.

-The parts where you're forced to stay in at night for story.
-Touching back on the Haru thing as well as the problem people have with lack of bonding, the game probably should've started in January or February instead of April. Really, up until Okumura's palace where shit starts getting heavy, there's no real reason everything can't happen a few months early. Use that extra time to let everyone bond as well give a bit of a better build up to Yaldabath. Maybe have his influence be a gradual thing that happens over the entire course of the game instead of just right at the end. Also introduce Haru earlier. Maybe somewhere between Kaneshiro and Futaba's palaces? She'd still join the party during her dad's palace, but she'd actually have at least have something to do outside of that. Who knows; maybe when the inevitable P5 rerelease happens, we'll get something along these lines.

That's everything I can think of off the top of my head. Love the game, but yeah there are definitely things that could've been better.
-Oh and to add, as someone else mentioned there should be actual benefits to hanging out with your girlfriend after maxing out her Confidant, so it doesn't feel like you're just wasting time by actually wanting to spend time with your waifu.

-This is more a problem I have with 4 and 5, and I honestly think 5 is a little bit better(or more likely because I'm accustomed to it now), but the way the cast's development and Ultimate Personas are handled through social links instead of the main story.
Also wanna add that I don't really hate the mouse sections themselves; I just hate that they overstay their welcome.
I definitely wish there haduring been more hang out time with the group. Just doing some non-phantom thieves stuff. The fireworks festival being rained out just pissed me off.
Other than that, Mishima's dumb ass and Mogana telling me to sleep ALL THE DAMN TIME were probably my biggest pet peeves.
- Akechi poor writing
- Very few memorable moments during school life
I think the focus on AOA's is mostly a byproduct of the way negotiations work
You need to hit their weakness to get a Hold Up to attempt negotiation so nearly every enemy has a weakness, where it felt like Weaknesses stopped existing at some point in earlier games, and as a result this means you're like always aiming for Hold Ups for AOAs or Negotiations because
well its possible
i admit the AOA screens are very jarring since I use the If... costumes, which is hilarious honestly seeing Joker land after a blow in that blue uniform and then it just SNAPS into his Thief outfit at the last second
Like I said, I get why it is the way it is and I don't hate or even really dislike it, but I do sometimes end up wishing there was more to it.
