I believe that Goro is still alive
If you think about it, they never really act like he died, smash created a spirit for him and they only do spirits for dead characters if the character appears as a ghost as far as I know, and he was put into other games as though he never died, anyone else agree?
There's basically no doubt in anyone's mind that he will have more of a social link and probably be a playable character into the endgame of P5R, if for no other reason than that Atlas has shown their willingness to undo plot-relevant deaths a la P3P where you can keep Shinjiro from dying when he's shot by progressing his social link Whether or not its a good thing is a totally different conversation, but hey somewhat marketable characters are basically never killed for good

agree to disagree, I don't see him as any kind of outstanding character and it kinda defeats the point of his apparent death, still gotta be better than how P3 did it

My only problem with that is Arsene isn't even a character, like it looks pretty cool but calling it a character is a stretch
Doesn't stop people from wanting to fucc him

There is something I want to say but I know I can't... but I just realized something...
Did you finally realize that Arsene isn't a character?
My only problem with that is Arsene isn't even a character, like it looks pretty cool but calling it a character is a stretch He is a character in my eyes, and don't call him an "it" Please do not refer to the Master Emerald as "it". That is disrespectful to the character.
Thank you eggman
Please do not refer to the Sun as "it". That is disrespectful to the character.
Did you finally realize that Arsene isn't a character? Nope... because he is a character, it's something to do with a lovely little voice in the back of my head... that's a little embarrassing to say the least,

At least Arsene has some imagination to him, but Sega was so uninspired that they just created a big crystal that can talk, and at least he is a character, fact he was a character BEFORE Persona 5, his name is Arsene Lupin, a well known gentleman thief, go ahead: look him up

Another thing, when he first appeared Joker didn't have to call upon his power, he just showed himself, even Pixie is more of a character than that emerald, and she doesn't play that big of a role, she is the second persona Joker gets and that's her biggest role in the game,
Well revealed himself,
First, Joker doesn't say anything because he's a silent protagonist, that's kinda how it works. Second, you're taking this way too seriously dude.

Are you saying you would not be surprised to learn there's a demon inside you telling you to kick your gym teacher's ass?
Hey I hate to be that guy, but the mods don’t like it when you multipost. I suggest trying to keep all your ideas in one post until someone else adds on to the conversation. If you think of something after you post you edit it in. I’m not trying to be rude
I thought this thread was about Goro....
He's not a demon, he talks a bit like you would think of one but if he were a demon then how come he helps the good guys and doesn't allow Akira's heart to become distorted? Why would he save the good guys? If he were a demon he would be fine with their death, he wouldn't basically tell you to stop being a chicken and save your friend, and yeah it started out to be about Goro but someone insulted the character who I feel really close to for some reason,
All personas are reused SMT demons soooo Arsene is a demon. Also Final boss spoiler for P5: This is the game where you summon Satan to shoot god in the head Also demons in SMT aren’t actually evil (Don’t quote me on this I haven’t gotten a chance to play a main SMT yet, I just started P2). From what I’ve seen SMT demons have the same roles as shadows in Persona games. But still what they said was a joke and still having a magical creature is still surprising so they’re point still stands. I think the reason people don’t consider any of the Personas/shadows as characters is the same reason people don’t count Pokemon as characters. It’s because they’re just creatures that let you use a game mechanic. Tell me if you consider a random Pidgy as a character. If you don’t then you now know the reason people don’t count Arsene as a character.
To clarify, applying good and evil to demons in SMT is a bit of a weird way to put it. They're neither really which is why SMT gives them specific alignments rather than a black and white morale compass. So, yeah, calling all demons in SMT evil or good doesn't work. Especially when you take into account that the protagonist in most SMT games recruits demons to their party as a main mechanic.
But Arsene is important to the game, it's like saying Ash's Pikachu isn't a character, they are both characters, and I never said that all personas aren't demons, just the main ones aren't, like Arsene, Zorro, Captain Kidd, Carmen, Goemon, etc.
Well...In the first Persona game Personas are literally described as being the Gods and Demons that live within us all. The definition has definitely changed over the years in a weird way but it's something to keep in mind.
Maybe I should talk to my personas about this WHEN THOSE TWO WILL ACTUALLY ANSWER ME
Tbf Personas aren’t really demons when it comes to how they’re shown in modern Persona, they’re more like JoJo stands or whatever. Not technically characters according to most but still pretty cool. Disclaimer: it’s more complex than that but this is the best comparison I can make in terms of how I see them as not-characters. The main point is that you subconsciously want to date Arsene. I can’t blame you. That dude’s hot. Anyway back to the thread topic, yeah honestly Atlus made Goro’s death so ambiguous that I’d be more surprised if he was revealed to be actually dead

>calling arsene important >you literally trash him in the first dungeon to learn persona fusion lmao
As Remi said I’ve pretty much just been joking since you mentioned Arsene, I will say your reaction is highly amusing though

O-oh... back to Goro, I am glad he might actually be alive!
