Search bar - yay or nay?
Would you use some kind of search engine that would help you find topics, posts, users?

I need feedback cause I don't know if it's worth the hassle to implement something like that.

Personally, I've been going to Google and using

site:phansite.net/forum "searchable subject"

A built in search bar would be nice. There's quite a few things I look up that's been all but archived, when I'm explaining the history of this place to a few people.

@Mishima Consider enabling search to differentiate between thread results and reply results. That is, input "Mishima" and choose to receive results as a list of threads or as a list of replies. This is a much truer search method.

Although people on personal computers already have Ctrl-F search, I think it would be beneficial for mobile users to have a search bar.

I think it's a good idea. Worth how active the forum is it would be good to have as there are topics I have to dog for to see if there are posts. Would be nice if things continue to go well to have different forum sections for different topic s like traditional forums.
