At a certain man's mansion, on a certain hill in a certain town, the final preparations were underway for the biggest dinner party in quite sometime. The host, recent inheritor of the Jackman fortune, wished to commemorate his family's legacy and invited quite the selection of people. But not everyone is as happy for him as he'd think...

Now, let us see who arrives on this night, to this dinner for the damned...

Well, my young maid, us Jackmans have long been a part of the business world, with a focus on charity as a second. I have been enjoying my life as a hero, but it seems that that may soon have to be put on hold, at least while the business is being organized.

I have great news, my wonderful guests. The dinner is almost prepared. Now, I have special rooms set aside for each and every one of you to make finishing preparations before the dinner begins. I have more servants ready to show them to you, and would be honored if you would take the time to follow them as the finishing touches are being made.

A maid stands ready to show each guest to their room when they are ready. Once everyone is led to their room, they are given time to get situated before being led to the dining hall. Everyone arrives at the same time... except for Jackman. The staff wonders what could be taking him, but encourage the others to begin the meal, as their employer wouldn't want them to wait on his account.

Maid: I-I was just trying to check on Mr. Jackman to see why he wasn't showing up for dinner a-a-and I discovered h-h-h-his...

She bursts into tears and can say no more. Jackman is dead, a stab wound to the heart, and one on his neck can confirm that his lack of pulse is due to foul play.

For now, the most important thing is to not wander away from the group, anyone who can kill someone and get away without getting spotted is probably smart enough to not attack a large group.

More of the mansion staff arrives and reacts as one would expect. Numerous gasps of shock, and many tears are shed. A butler speaks up.

Butler: If you all have learned all you can from... from the crime scene it may be better to relocate to the main hall before any further investigation

Numerous members of the staff voice their assurances that, they'd let no one leave even if the building wasn't locked down, all at once. It sees Mr. Jackman was very well liked by his staff.

9S's self-destruct surprisingly didn't damage the interior of the mansion. There's some soot from the explosion that a maid comments she'll clean up later.

Butler: Please, everyone. If there's nothing else you wish to check on here, I suggest you all move elsewhere to discuss your next course of action.

Well, sir, I'd argue that finding a path to where the killer fled would be important right now. The hallways would've been too open for them to hide, considering they had the bloody knife with them.
The most likely escaped through this room somehow.

The butler in question disregards Ryuzaki's words and goes to make sure the rest of the staff is still a functioning work force. Stopping to respond to Emerson before continuing.

Butler: Then by all means, investigate. But please, try and be quick and don't disturb the body.... All Mr. Jackman wanted was to celebrate with everyone and it's come to this...

The food from dinner is still available if someone's appetite wasn't ruined. And a maid offers to show her to the restroom. Another maid makes an offhanded comment overheard by the group.

Maid: I'm sure if we all went and checked their rooms something would turn up, wouldn't it? why are we even letting them try and solve this? They're all equally suspect if you ask me...

No, but this hallway is crowded and I can't see everyone, and that makes me feel like I'mma get stabbed in the back...

I agree that its important we check to see if the body was moved, but we should also look at the stab wound and the amount of blood. There's a chance he was killed another way and the killer covered it up by stabbing him.

A random maid: Wha-? How has the kitchen door not been locked yet? Someone go take care of that and keep watch of the kitchen too.

Shinji notices that besides the pool of blood around Jackman, there's nothing else that can be inferred but that he was killed in this very spot. There are a few drops of blood in the direction of the stairs, but there aren't many.

A butler: As much as I hate to say it, if you want to continue eating I see no reason to stop you, Mr. Mishimans. I doubt Mr. Jackman would want the food to go to waste.

While everyone is discussing what to do, two different crashes are heard, one from the garden and another from one of the hallways on the floor below. What could they possibly be?

As everyone runs off to try and find the source of the crashes the groups are unfortunately split apart for the better part of ten minutes before the garden group makes it there, and Shinji and Em find the source of the crash on the second floor.

In the garden a maid can be seen cleaning up pieces of broken pottery and the remains of once pristine gardening.

In the second floor hallway, Shinji and Em find a butler had knocked over a grandfather clock and was dejectedly wondering how he's going to properly pay respect to the Jackman's if he can't even keep their property in order.

Elsewhere....

A butler: M-M-M-M-MS. NANAKA!!!!

*Sayaka Adachi arrives on the scene at the front of the mansion. She received an anonymous tip via text message... A Blocked Number, no less. The owner of the Jackson Manor mysteriously died. While odd, she couldn't pass this opportunity up.

She walks up to the overbearingly large doors and knocks. She had a bad feeling. Perhaps it was the intimidating atmosphere?*

When everyone arrives they see the same thing. Nanaka Akamoto: Dead. Her head appears bashed in, and one of the towel racks is missing. A number of windows around the bathroom and the one inside are opened, with various mansion staff confused as to how.

Sayaka is greeted by one of the maids of the mansion as she opens the door.

Maid: Are you the detective? Please, help us find out who killed Mr. Jackman. I.. I'll never be able to forgive them! They must be brought to justice!

And I may not have been watching Yu the entire time but I did see him in the garden.

Butler: Normally I'd ask that you return that knife back to the kitchen staff, but given the situation we're in I'll let you keep it for now. I need to check about the other knives though...

The butler leaves to do as he said, passing by Sayaka and the maid escorting her on his way.

She wasn't killed discreetly... The person involved made sure it hurt. Someone capable of this must have quite the aggressive streak.

I'm guessing that Nanaka knew something, or the culprit has a common grudge against both her and Jackman. But who could that be...?

I would like everyone to state their alibis and their relationship with both of the deceased. Shinji, that goes for you as well. While you are family, I have to observe any possibility.

I was late so I arrived here after the first murder and I was searching the kitchen during the second. This was also my first time meeting Nanaka but I had recently met Jackman, which was why I was invited to come tonight.

Yu and Mishimans return to the scene of the first murder, to Jackman's body where two members of the staff are keeping watch.

It might do good for some more examination of Nanaka's body and the scene around it.

Sayaka notices that Nanaka's head was hit from the back, at least twice with the bloodstains on the wall to match this assumption. The front of her head is also bleeding, presumably from making contact with the wall after the first hit.

Mishimans has a nervous streak. Is this true nervousness, or guilt? He isn't exactly the nervous type from my encounters with him... If Yu is killed, I will suspect him.

It is odd that Shinji and Ryuzaki would hint towards a "murder mystery" before it happened. Perhaps these were jokes in stead, and I don't think that the killer would place such obvious evidence on themselves... Unless they're accomplices.

I also noticed that Nanaka was likely killed by a blunt object. It was either someone with access to a weapon, or unnatural strength...

Shinji and Ryuzaki, what was your relationship with Jackman? And where were you at the time of Nanaka's death?

Nothing worth while...these curtains are very thick and visibility was limited. However, there wasn't much talking...I heard a gasp and some muffled sounds...not sure if that helps.
