Metaverse outfits, Thief outfits, whatever you want to call them, they are the will of the characters rebellion. But... rebellion from what exactly? What exactly are these outfits intended for? I've seen many RPers use them, but in rather strange ways. It makes me wonder if they understand what they are supposed to mean, and simply choose to go with it because it's a neat idea. Which I can't blame you for, but here I am to ramble about stuff anyway!
The outfits materialize on the user once the will of their rebellion is materialized, as we know. The outfit is part of the Metaverse shenanigans to 'mark' someone as an intruder, as someone rebelling against the Palace Ruler. The outfits themselves are meant to reflect what the wearer views as a 'Rebel'. For Joker there is the obvious gentleman thief, for Mona, a bandit, Skull is a biker/thug, and so forth. There's another interesting point I could bring up, but will redact it for spoilers, for now.
I bring this up because I often see moments where these metaverse outfits spawn in RP, and it confuses me. How is that viewed as a Rebel? What are they 'rebelling' against to cause it to spawn? The most obvious, how is it spawning outside of the Metaverse?
