No I killed something that looked like my shadow but was made by Nyarlathotep, these things that can be talked down are nothing like his work.

They were monsters plain and simple, and killing them only made us stronger. From what I've seen killing the "normal kind" is bad news.

Persona spells that bring back the dead can drag someone's soul out but only with a body. And only if it was in the last few hours to. You got anything Akamoto?

Yes if you've got a burning will of rebellion then you can get one in the Metaverse. Speaking as someone who just did it...

Even I'm not quite sure how it works. All I know is seeing Hitler summon up Nyarlathotep again made me want nothing more then to burn him to ashes and put a stop to the games that damn thing plays with human lives for god.

Only a few? Liam my whole team could summon in the real world pretty easy. But that was a while back so I don't know maybe the world has or had less magic then before?

You can gain a persona in the metaverse as well but it's not something you can invoke just by wanting it. Another method is an evoker but using one isn't exactly good for your health since your literally ripping the persona out of your body, plus evokers don't always work either.

I wouldn't use an Evoker on anyone I didn't know had a Persona. Hell I don't like using one myself to summon two but's come in handy.

Kazuya, I think one of the main things holding you back is a reliance on those demons you can summon.

You're never backed into a corner, and you never truly rely on yourself. With the ability to do that its no wonder nothing's happened yet

Your shadow is a reflection of your true desires, its you, but without the mask you wear so you can stand yourself each day. From what I heard its not very pleasant to talk to, and has a murderous streak a mile long

You don't know much about the TV do you Haru? let me explain. When someone enters the TV world it will bring out their shadow, if said shadow is denied as being a part of them it goes berserk. Accept and you get a Persona.

However I'm not sure if you'd have one or not. Unless Nyarlathotep made it but those won't give you a Persona.

in and of themselves shadows aren't evil, and can actually be benevolent, wanting their real counterpart to accept who they are. But when they're rejected, they can't seem to stand the pain, and go wild. Makes me glad I was able to get mine another way

Yes exactly! For example Futaba Sakura's shadow was her repressed feeling of not wanting to kill herself and her knowledge that in spite of what assholes said her mothers death wasn't her fault.

The way they rebel in p5 is close to accepting the weaknesses of their hearts. They face the things chaining them down on a mental level. They free their psyche. So i think it makessaid sense

OOC: Following the idea that personas are a mask we use against the world, it would make sense that we have a true mask, a rebellious mask, etc. A mask for any given situation. Granted Wild Cards get this as a protagonist bonus, I am fond of the idea that they can get new ones.

OOC: Another thing that kinda adds on to the idea of them being separate is the Picaro versions. The Picaro versions seem to be a design that makes old persona look more rebellious and fit into a more phantom thieves style for lack of a better term. It leads me to believe the reason they become Picaro is because of the spirit of rebellion.

OOCI think there's more to it then butterfly magic. More likely Philemon drags out one of many masks within someone and gives them the power to use others like it? I kind of ignore it but affinity in 1/2 meant everyone was good with certain Personas. I'd guess the better they are the more like them said Persona is.

I just use whatever though cause screw affinity.
