What about setting limits on the type of skills rather than the tier's? In other words: you can only use 1 category of top tier skills.
For example: If you have Mediarahan, you can't have Megidolaon.
If you have Heat Riser, you can't have Mediarahan, etc.
You're supposed to work as a team and have a "complete moveset" together and not alone.

These are all valid concerns, I would appreciate all inputs for how we should go about creating a balanced playing field. I understand that the wild cards are truly the powerhouses, but I don't want to leave the common folk in the dust.

@Yozora Perhaps have a variation of that where if you are primarily attack based, then you can't have more than 2 buff/debuff/heal skills. And vice versa. However, your original idea does hold water, it isn't bad.

Yeah Kaz your fine. I might say lose some HP and add like one elemental attack but other wise you aren't much worse than me. If GM'S let me get away with double or triple summon I'll be Todd out Armageddon once a fight. Which I say make a flat 3000 HP damage for me cause it costs as much as summoning Lucifer and Satan.

What about a kind of stat-select type of system? You break the skills apart in categories and give each user a fix amount of points to distribute. Maybe you could use a leveling-system to increase your skill-range that way too (or you keep it fixed).

Let's say each user has 10 Points to distribute.

Attack 2/4
Buff 4/4
Debuff 0/4
Heal 4/4

If you put 4 points into buff and healing you can use top tier skills of both these categorys, but would now only have 2 left to spend on other stuff, meaning you could only use rank 2 attacks and no debuffs at all, relying on your team mates to take care of that.
We could throw the wild cards a bone and say they can use 3 Skill-Selects, changing with the persona they are using.

I'm not sure how that would work with passive skills though. owo

You could also use this to for HP/SP and the other Stats (Strength, Agi, etc).
Everyone has 100 base HP/SP and has 15 points to put in whatever he wants. Each point giving 50 HP/SP (numbers are just random to give an example too.).

Using system's like these would ensure that every user is unique, while also balancing it out automatically in the progress.

Choose the right ones and it's borderline Deus Ex Machina heroic sacrifice nonsense. If used he'd likely be incapacitated the rest of the encounter with some pretty bad negative side effects.

So, yeah, obligatory post:
As some of the people who were on the Ramengod boss fight know, we lack Ice and Nuke skills. I just saw some Ice persona user up there, so that fixes a bit the problem, but we still lack Nukes.
So, as I said in my Character sheet, I usually change my arcana (So I got only 2 arcanas), And I think is time to make another persona, just to be prepared for the next god (C´mon guys, we all know the phansite will do it, th phansite never forgets)
I have to concentrate on other things right now, but probably this weekend I will be able to think about something.
The only facts I now for now are:
-It will be weak to Ice (that´s a personal thing, please don't ask why)
-It will have Nuke attacks.
-It will be from the High Priestess arcana
I will leave this for now, but in the future I will work some more.
